The FSAARC runs regular VEC License Testing Sessions on the 2nd Saturday of February, April, June, August, October and December. The April Session each year is held at the Hanging Judge Ham Fest.
The session commences at 10:00am in the Main Conference Room of the Health South Rehabilitation Center, 1401 South J Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Parking is available in the lot south of the Rehab Center. (The April session will be held at the Hanging Judge Hamfest, Columbus Acres)
The fee for the test session is $15.00 no matter how many elements you wish to attempt. However, if you wish to re-take one of the elements, there will be an additional fee of $15.00.
If you already have a FCC Amateur License or a CSCE (Certificate of Successful Completion) and are attempting an element to upgrade your license, you should bring both the original document and a photocopy.
While it is not a requirement, we strongly recommend that you obtain an FRN (FCC Registration Number) before the test session as this will speed up the application process. It is completely free and no credit card information is required. You can apply online here.
