Minutes of the Fort Smith Amateur Radio Club November 2019
The November 2019 Meeting of the FSAARC was called to order @ 7:02 pm by Jim Weaver KM5YV Vice-President.
The Minutes for the October Meeting were published on the Website, Ray Armstrong KI5BYN made a Motion to approve the Minutes as published, Motion was Seconded by Jim Darrough KI7AY, the Motion to approve the Minutes was approved Unanimously.
John Annis WO0OOO Club Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s Report. Motion to Approve the Treasurer’s Report as Presented made by Jim Darrough KI7AY, Motion was Seconded by John Samuels W5ATW, Motion was approved Unanimously.
REPEATER COMMITTEE REPORT: Rory Bowers K5CKS advised that the Tulsa Link was now operational again, and wanted to say THANKS to those who helped with that task. He advised the Sycamore Link is not operational at this time. Also was mentioned that on Cavanal Hill new gravel had been put on the road which helps the travel.
OLD BUSINESS: The HAMFEST was discussed and more study will need to be completed by the Committee that is to make recommendations to the Club.
NEW BUSINESS: Next Months Meeting will be at the Western Sizzlin on Towson Avenue in Ft. Smith. Everyone is invited. It will be held on Saturday December 14th @ 3:00 pm.
OFFICERS were elected for the Club, Nominees for President were: Mike Cole (who asked for his name to be removed), Rory Bowers & Jimmie Lowrey. A vote by Ballots was taken and Rory Bowers was elected the President for the coming year.
Vice-President Nominees were: Mike Bell (who asked for his name to be removed) Jimmie Roughley and Jeff Ricketts. A vote by Ballots was taken and Jeff Ricketts was elected Vice-President for the coming year.
For the Secretary and Treasurer’s Positions only one person was nominated for each of those positions: Secretary Steve Rutherford and Treasurer John Annis; both were elected by acclimation.
Mike Bell K5JMB made a Motion to adjourn the Meeting and it was approved unanimously.
