Minutes of the Fort Smith Amateur Radio Club July 2019

The July 2019 Meeting of the Fort Smith Area Amateur Radio Club was called to order at 7:00 pm by Jimmie Lowrey W5JNL Club President.

The Minutes from the previous meeting of the FSAARC were posted on the Club’s Website.  Jim Darrough, KI7AY made a motion to approve the minutes as posted, motion was seconded by Chuck Johnson N5JUD and approved unanimously.

John Annis WO0OOO, Club Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s Report.  He reported a Beginning Balance of $5,265.32, there was one bill, the Electric Bill for the Repeater $44.00, leaving an Ending Balance of $5,221.32, motion by Jim Darrough KI7AY to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented, seconded by Chuck Johnson N5JUD, Motion was approved unanimously.

Several shared about their participation in Field Day.

Repeater Report was given by Wayne Johnson W5OFN and Rory Bowers K5CKS, there is some regularly scheduled maintenance that needs to be done on the Repeater Building and the Roadway needs some gravel.

Discussion was held on the Studying on the best time for our HAMFEST.

OLD BUSINESS – NONE

NEW BUSINESS – It was discussed about sharing part of an antenna Tower for Display at the Museum.  Motion by Chuck Johnson N5JUD, seconded by Joel Goldstein.  Motion was approved Unanimously.

Rory Bowers K5CKS brought up for discussion the low amount of money in the General Fund.  After a discussion was held, Jimmy Lowrey W5JNL will check and see what is the limit and a 501C3 group can have. 

Joel Goldstein W5GOL offered to be the contact to get in touch with the Press concerning announcements concerning meetings, events, etc.

Mike Bell K5JMB made a Motion to adjourn the Business Session.
