The October Meeting of the Ft. Smith Area Amateur Radio Club was called to order @ 7:00 pm on October 18, 2021 by Rory Bowers K5CKS Club President.
Minutes from the previous meeting of the Club were posted on the Website, Motion by Joel Goldstein W5GOL to approve the minutes as Posted, seconded by Wayne Johnson W5OFN, Motion was APPROVED unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report was presented by John Annis, Club Treasurer as Follows:
Beginning Balance 9,300.46
Transferred to Checking 6.13
Paid for Electric on Repeater 45.00
Paid for Postal Supplies 66.35
Ending Balance 9,195.24
Motion by Jim Darrough KI7AY to approve the Treasurer’s Report, Seconded by W5LLX Ed, Motion was approved unanimously.
REPEATER REPORT: Everything is working except for the Link to the Sycamore Repeater. Discussion was held concerning the Coax Cable needed to finish the Repairs to the Damage from Vandals/Thieves. After Discussion, Joel Goldstein W5GOL made a Motion to allocate $2,000.00 to purchase the needed items, Motion was Seconded by W5LLX and was approved UNANIMOUSLY.
OLD BUSINESS: Discussion was held concerning acquiring Internet Service at the Repeater Location, this will be looked into and a report at a future meeting.
NEW BUSINESS: None
