April Meeting Minutes

The April Meeting of the Fort Smith Area Amateur Radio Club was called to order at 7:03 pm by Club President Mike Cole W5TMC.

Steve Rutherford WC5SR Club Secretary, announced the Club Minutes from the March Meeting were posted on the Club’s Website, Motion by Joe StokesW5JPS made a motion to approve the Minutes as posted, seconded by Art Sellers W3TZ, Motion was approved Unanimously.

Cathy Haugh KF5UYT, Club Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s Report as follow

Motion Made by Jim Darrough KI7AY to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented, seconded by Joel Goldstein,

A question was posed as to whether we covered all of the expenses of the HAMFEST, the answer by Cathy Haugh, Treasurer was that we covered all but $253.20 of the expenses of the HAMFEST.

Motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report was approved UNANIMOUSLY.

OLD BUSINESS
More Discussion on the costs of the HAMFEST and possible changes/improvements.

Joe Stokes K5JPS, VEC for FSAARC stated that there were 6 people who passed VE Testing for their Technician Licenses and 4 People passed the General Test (including 1 who Passed both their Technician and General Test that day)

Also it was mentioned that the Forums were well attended.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Mike Cole W5TMC mentioned that the Club Picnic will be held on Saturday the 22nd of April at HealthSouth.  The Club will be providing the Meat, members are asked to bring other Picnic Items.

Mike also shared that on Saturday May 13th FSAARC will be participating in the NATIONAL TRAIN DAY Special Event from 10am until 5 pm, using the Special Call K5T, all are invited to assist in this Special Event.

Also mentioned was FIELD DAY which will be held on June 24th-25th @ Bell Park in Greenwood.  In the Club Meeting in May we will try to nail down assignments, etc.

Mike Bell K5JMB made a Motion to Adjourn the Meeting it was APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
