F.S.A.A.R.C. CLUB MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 18, 2017
The December 2017 Meeting of the Fort Smith Area Amateur Radio Club was called to order @ 7:00 pm by Mike Cole W5TMC, Club President.
The Minutes were posted on the Club website, Jim Darrough KI7AY made a motion to accept the Minutes as Posted, seconded by Joe Stokes K5JPS and motion was approved unanimously.
Cathy Haugh KF5UYT, Club Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s Report:

Motion made by K5JPS Joe Stokes to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented, seconded by Jim Weaver KM5YV, motion was approved unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
Mike Cole announced the Officers for the upcoming year:
Jimmie Lowrey Club President
Jim Darrough Club Vice-President
Steve Rutherford Club Secretary
Cathy Haugh Club Treasurer
Repeater Committee reports everything is normal at the Repeater Site
VE Report from Joe Stokes, last testing session yielded 2 New Technicians Licensed and 1 Upgraded to Extra. Joe also stated that he was leaving the post of Liaison for the VE program and Steve Rutherford WC5SR will be assuming that position.
An upcoming Class for Technician was discussed and probably will occur in January.
Mike Cole also mentioned the January Meeting will be held at the Western Sizzlin at 5200 Towson Avenue in Ft. Smith on January 13, 2018, @ 6:00 pm, need to come early if possible. We will have guests, David Norris ARRL Delta Division Director and Jay Ferguson the Arkansas Section Manager are planning on joining us for the Meeting.
Mike also talked about the HAMFEST, he said we have not heard as of yet from the Sign Man, D&L Antenna or Palmetto Antennas if they will be attending or not. He also reminded everyone that we will need help setting up on Friday at the new Location 8400 Zero Street in Ft. Smith. Advertising was also discussed.
