Minutes of the January 2012 meeting of the Fort Smith Area Amateur Radio Club
MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE FORT SMITH AREAL AMATEUR RADIO CLUB, INC.
There was held on the 16th day of January, 2012, a monthly meeting of the membership of the Fort Smith Area Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (hereinafter sometimes “club”) at Big Jake’s Restaurant, Van Buren, Arkansas, the occasion being the club’s annual banquet. The club’s outgoing President, KE5TC, called the meeting to order and ceremoniously passed the mantle of leadership and presidents gavel to W5JNL who thereupon presided over the meeting.
The reading of the minutes of the prior monthly meeting were waived. The treasurer K5RRD stated that the club had approximately $8555.00 in funds. There was no motion for acceptance of the treasurers report.
Officers for the forthcoming year were announced and introduced: W5JNL, President; K5DFO, Vice President; K5RRD, Treasurer; W5JAG, Secretary.
W5OFN announced that a Storm Spotter class would be held February 4, 2012 at 1400 local at the Emergency Operations Center in Fort Smith.
W5TMC announced that the annual hamfest would be the first Saturday in April, 2012.
There was a call for further old business to come before the club, and none did.
There was a call for new business to come before the club, and none did.
As there were new members in attendance, all members introduced themselves.
K5JMB moved to adjourn. Upon motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the monthly meeting of the Fort Smith Area Amateur Radio Club, Inc., was adjourned.
