JANUARY 17, 2015 MEETING
FORT SMITH AREA AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
The F.S.A.A.R.C. Monthly Meeting was held on January 17, 2015 at Big Jake’s Cattle Company Restaurant. The meeting was proceeded by a wonderful meal. The meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm by Jimmie Lowrey, W5JNL,President. The reading of the Minutes and the Monthly Treasurer’s Report were dispensed with at this meeting. No Old Business was brought up to be discussed. Under New Business, Chuck Johnson, K5JUD, made a motion that $4,000.00 be set aside for Prizes for the upcoming Hamfest, since we had cleared $1,000.00 from last year’s Hamfest, motion was seconded by Ronnie Ross KD6RYO and approved unanimously. Jimmie Lowrey asked if there was any other Business to be discussed, Mike Cole, W5TMC stated that some of the meetings of the Hamfest Committee will be held via SKYPE on the computer, so if the members of the Committee are not members they need to sign up. Jimmie Lowrey then presented the annual awards from the FSAARC to the Members as voted on the the Club Members. They are as follows:
Alligator of the Year Award, KF5WCP, John Ferrell
Elmer of the Year Award: W5ATW, John Samuels
Rookie of the Year Award: KF5ZPK, Clayton Roecker
Ham of the Year Award: K5KDX, Jeff Ricketts
Being no further business, Mike Bell, K5JMB, made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, motion was seconded and the meeting was adjourned.
