January Meeting Minutes

The January Meeting of the F.S.A.A.R.C. was held on January 23, 2016 at Big Jakes Steak House in Van Buren, Arkansas in conjunction with our Annual  Banquet.  The Meeting was called to order at 6:26 pm  by President Jimmie Lowery, W5JNL.
The minutes were posted on the Club Website, a Motion to approve the minutes was made by Joe Stokes, K5JPS, motion was seconded by Richard Davidson, KG5GYF the motion was approved unanimously.
Cathy Haugh, KF5UYT Club Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s Report, we started January with a Balance of $2,364.50, had deposits totaling $1,032.15, with two payments, one for $37.00 for Electric at Repeater Site and the other for $37.87 to Trophies Unlimited leaving a Balance of $3,321.78.  Ronnie Ross, KD6RYO and was seconded by Joel Goldstein, W5GOL, the motion was unanimously approved.
The was no report from the Repeater Committee.
Old Business – NONE
New Business:
Mike Cole, W5TMC gave a report on the Upcoming Hamfest, will not have a Hat Maker at the Hamfest, that can do hats while here, still waiting on Confirmations from D & L Antenna and Sublications on whether they will be attending.  Also waiting on confirmation from Bob Heil whether he will attend.

There will be a Wouff Hong on the Friday Evening before the Hamfest begins.
Jess Ricketts, K5KDX will be heading up the Rich Mountain DXpedition this year.
Mike Cole, W5TMC also announced that the F.S.A.A.R.C. will be participating in the National Parks On The Air event in March, April and May of this year from the Ft. Smith National Historic Site.
Mike Bell, K5JMB made a motion to Adjourn the Business Meeting portion of the Banquet. The Motion was approved unanimously.
