F.S.A.A.R.C. MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES – JANUARY 21, 2017
The January 2017 Monthly Meeting of the FSAARC was held on January 21, 2017, @ 7:00 PM. The Meeting was Called To Order at 6:57 pm by Michael Cole W5TMC.
Club Secretary, Steve Rutherford W5TMC, advised that the Minutes from the December 2016 Meeting were posted on the Website, Jim Darrough KI7AY made a Motion to Approve the Minutes, Motion was Seconded by Raymond VanSyckle, Motion was Approved Unanimously.
Cathy Haugh KF5UYT, Club Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s Report as follows: Balance Forward was $5764.02, with a Deposits of 92.00 (50-50: 17.00, Dues 75.00), PayPal 631.91. Checks that were written: $49.30 (Picnic Expenses to Jimmie Lowrey), 89.24 (Repeater Building Repair) and 38.00 (Electric for Repeater Building). Leaving a Balance at the end of December of $6311.39. Joel Goldstein W5GOL made a Motion to Approve the Treasurer’s Report, Motion Seconded by John Samuels W5ATW, Motion was Approved Unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS: Everyone was advised that if you buy things on AMAZON, to be sure and use the Amazon Smiles, so the Club will receive a Small amount of money.
REPEATER COMMITTEE: Building has been repaired and is in good shape, just waiting for it to be painted.
NEWSLETTER: Cheri VanSyckle, KG5EFB, advised that she is ready to get started with the Newsletter, it will be POSTED on the FSAARC Website as soon as it is Repaired and is Available for the posting. She advised she needs information for articles for the NEWSLETTER, you can send information to her at her EMAIL: KG5EFB@ARRL.NET.
HAMFEST: Mike Cole gave an update on the upcoming Hamfest, we have 4 definite VENDORS who have stated that they WILL be there:
ASSOCIATED RADIO
MAIN TRADING COMPANY
EMBROIDERED MEMORIES
HAM CRAZY
Not sure yet on WB0W.
Hanging Judge Website – is also being readied.
Mike wanted FSAARC Members to think about lowering the Admission Price for the Hamfest from $10.00 to $5.00, it will be discussed at the next meeting.
Mike also Suggested that we change the amount spent on Prizes for the Hamfest to $2,000. After Discussion, Ronnie Ross K6RXO made a Motion to spend $2,500.00 for the Hamfest Prizes, his Motion was Seconded by Joel Goldstein W5GOL seconded the Motion and it was Approved by a Majority.
NEW BUSINESS: It was suggested that Jimmie Lowrey is left on the list of those who are approved to Sign Checks, Motion was made by John Samuels W5ATW and seconded by Jim Weaver KM5YV, Motion was Approved Unanimously.
Mike Bell K5JMB made a Motion to Adjourn, Approved Unanimously.
