FORT SMITH AREA AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
MINUTES SEPTEMBER 19, 2016
The September Meeting of the FSAARC was called to Order @ 7:03 pm on September 19, 2016 by President Jimmie Lowrey W5JNL.
The Minutes from the previous meeting were posted on the FSAARC Website, Chuck Johnson, N5JUD, made a motion to approve the Minutes as Posted, Joe Stokes, K5JPS, seconded the Motion, it was approved unanimously.
Cathy Haugh KF5UYT, Club Secretary gave the Treasurer’s Report, we had a beginning balance of 5,028.85, Deposits totaling 305.05 one bill paid for 13.00 (Electric @ Repeater Sight) leaving an ending balance of $5320.90. Motion made by Art Sellers, W3TZ, seconded by Richard Davidson, W5ACP. It was approved unanimously.
Repeater Committee Report by Wayne Johnson W5OFN. Everything is OK with the repeater at this time, wanted to Thank Jim Weaver KM5YV and Gary McCrorey WQ5R, who went to the repeater site and mowed both inside and outside of the fenced in area, they also repaired the gate. Wayne also stated that we would reschedule the WORK DAY and be buying material to repair the outside of the building. A question was asked about the 146.940 repeater on the capabilities concerning digital or analog, it was explained that it would do both.
Mike Cole W5TMC gave the Activity Report. Everyone present introduced themselves. Mike then stated that he would like to see the October Meeting of the Club be moved to Saturday October 15th, and be held @ our regular Meeting Place at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, and that we have Picnic Style Lunch with the Club Furnishing Hot Dogs, Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers and Hot Links and everyone bringing a Side Dish. The Meeting will start at 1:00 pm. Wayne Johnson, W5OFN made the motion to approve this, Jim Weaver KM5YV seconded the motion and it was approved. Mike also mentioned the January 2017 Club Meeting which has been held the last few years at Big Jakes in Van Buren, be moved to WESTERN SIZZLIN on Towson Avenue in Ft Smith. That meeting will be held on January 21, 2017 beginning at 6:00 pm. Jim Weaver KM5YV made a motion to approve that, Joel Goldstein W5GOL seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.
Being no further business, Mike Bell K5JMB made a Motion to adjourn the Meeting and it was approved unanimously.
